All students must maintain discipline within the campus premises. Polite behavior, respectful communication, and adherence to institute norms are mandatory. Students are expected to uphold the dignity and values of the institute at all times.
2. Attendance Policy
A minimum of 75% attendance is compulsory in all theory and practical classes. Regular attendance ensures better learning and successful academic progress. Students failing to meet attendance requirements may be barred from examinations. Leave applications must be submitted in advance with valid reasons and approval from the concerned authorities.
3. Uniform and Grooming
All students must wear the prescribed uniform as per course guidelines. Proper grooming, personal hygiene, and a professional appearance are expected daily. Haircuts, clean nails, and polished shoes are part of the hospitality industry standards. Students not adhering to the grooming norms may not be allowed to attend practical sessions.
4. Use of Mobile Phones
Mobile phones are strictly prohibited during class hours, practical sessions, seminars, and inside the library. Phones must be switched off or kept on silent mode. Unauthorized usage will lead to confiscation. Repeat offenders may face disciplinary action. Students are encouraged to maintain focus and avoid digital distractions while on campus.
5. Cleanliness and Campus Decorum
Maintaining cleanliness and hygiene on campus is the responsibility of every student. Littering, spitting, or damaging campus property is strictly forbidden. Students must respect classroom decorum, follow queue systems, and maintain silence in academic blocks. Smoking, alcohol, or drugs are strictly prohibited and will result in immediate expulsion if found.
6. Library and Lab Rules
The library and labs are meant for academic use only. Silence must be maintained at all times. Books must be returned on time; penalties apply for delays or damage. Practical labs must be handled carefully with proper usage of equipment. Students must report any malfunction or issue immediately to concerned staff.
7. Examination and Evaluation
All students must appear for internal and external examinations as scheduled. Cheating, use of unfair means, or proxy attendance will result in strict penalties. Assignments and practicals must be submitted within deadlines. Evaluation will be based on attendance, performance, discipline, and academic results. Excellence and honesty are expected from every learner.
